State of the cartoonist update

Hallo, busybodies,

Oh dear god, I am so sorry. I didn't realize I hadn't mentioned anything here or on the OPB tumblr. Hopefully you caught sight of my message on twitter and haven't been too worried.

Long story short: I'm going through some stuff with OPB, and real life is a bit hectic. I'm really getting into my new job, which is fun but like nothing I've ever done before, and I'm also getting used to my new home for now*. I'm also working on getting the new comic, Cat Sick, up and running by October 31, so that's got me a bit busy.

So here's what you can expect:
- An OPB page this Wednesday (or Thursday)
- I'll be telling you guys about Cat Sick a bit more here
- An OPB page next Wednesday, probably. 85% probability, let's say.

And schedule resuming as normal, hopefully, hehe. Cat Sick, for the record, is a bit darker but (I think) a whole lot funnier than OPB. The comic I've idly started planning to follow with after OPB ends is, however, possibly the lightest, fluffiest, most cheerful thing I've done. So those'll be a hell of a contrast when they're running together.

Well I don't follow anything on Twitter, but I had actually forgotten you hadn't updated in a while. Been busy with tests. @.@

But yay for new comic on Wed/Thurs. It'll either get paired with the new Naruto chapter, or reading Dear Prudence. XD

I checked out Twitter to see if you had posted and make sure you were doing ok. I'm glad you're alive and such! Looking forward to both comics whenever you get to them - just do what you've gotta do!

I'm just glad that real life isn't killing your soul. : ) Nice to hear the job's working out too.

I think fluffy and cheerful is good. I get the feeling that the ending of OPB is going to be gut wrenching (in the good way) and I'll probably need a pick me up. (aaaand probably some alcohol)

I look forward to the next update. I've been re-reading and I'm so excited.

And hey. Your comics, ever since I discovered Boy Meets Boy back in the day not long after Friendly Hostility had started, have gotten me through some hard times as reading material to distract and comfort me, and I'm sure I can't be the only one because they are so awesome, so don't feel bad about *your* life being hectic, because it happens to all of us and you are the one actually producing something that others enjoy!

Whatever you post is amazing! I'm glad you are liking your new place/job/times! From what you put on your tumblr, cat sick is hilarious, and I love it, and that is all.

Wait, what, OPB is also already ending? I just got used to FH ending. And I fully expect catsick to be about that murderous slyly cute shadow thing. I don't have or use Twitter (well I nearly did to comment to Hart Hanson but even sending myself my own PW didn't work since I can't recall which mail account I misused for it).

Yeah, stay put and tell us about fun new jobs and home diy and stuffs.

Updates are great, but as everyone else above has said before me, we are a patient lot, your fans. I love your comics to bits and pieces and I know what it's like to feel like you're sliding off the rails when you find yourself in a transitional time in your life.

Take care of yourself first, then worry about your readers. We'll be here. ♥

I wish you the best of luck in the new job and the new house.

I adore your comics, and I will continue to follow anything you do like the obsequious fanboy I am. I'll be sad to see OPB end, but like the way I mourn FH but appreciate the new depth you put into OPB, and I can only look forward to your next effort.
